Payment and Refund Policy

This policy explains when a payment is taken, what it covers, and how cancellations and refunds are assessed. It forms part of the Terms and Conditions. Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply.

When payment is taken

After the assessment and after you have read the engagement terms. No payment is requested while a matter is held for legal review.

What the fee covers

The professional work stated in your Service Confirmation for one accepted standard Will: AED 10,000 plus VAT.

What is charged separately

Government, court, registry, notary, certification, attestation, courier and identity-verification charges, and any work outside the accepted scope that you have approved.

Cancelling before work begins

If you cancel before substantive work has begun, the professional fee is refunded in full.

Cancelling after work begins

A refund is assessed against the work actually completed, and we deduct only a reasonable, documented amount for that work.

If a DIFC Will is required after payment

The matter is paused and the standard fee already paid is credited against the agreed DIFC professional fee. If you decline the DIFC quotation, the unused balance is refunded on the same basis.

If Summit cannot accept the matter

Where Summit declines a matter after payment, the professional fee is refunded, less only a reasonable, documented amount for substantive work already completed.

Authority charges

An authority charge already paid to an authority is outside our control and is subject to that authority's own rules.

How refunds are made

To the original payment method where possible, within a reasonable period after the refund is agreed.
