These Terms apply to your use of the UAE Expat Wills platform and to the services Summit Legal Consultancy UAE provides through it. If there is a conflict between these Terms and a written service confirmation issued specifically for your matter, the service confirmation applies to that matter to the extent of the conflict.

UAE Expat Wills is a digital legal-service platform owned and operated by Summit Legal Consultancy UAE, Trade Licence No. 4429232.01. Summit is not a court, registry, notary or government authority, and UAE Expat Wills does not itself register, notarise or issue Wills.
These Terms apply when you use the platform, complete the assessment, create an account, purchase a service, submit instructions or documents, or communicate with us through the platform. By using the platform you confirm that you have read and accepted the parts of these Terms that apply to that use.
Assessment means the free preliminary questionnaire. Service Confirmation means the written summary of the accepted service, fee and scope. Competent Authority means the court, registry or notary responsible for registration. Will includes a Will or related testamentary document prepared or reviewed within the accepted service.
You may use the platform only if you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract. A Competent Authority may apply different eligibility, capacity, identity or signing requirements, and an assessment result does not override legal or authority eligibility requirements.
No account or payment is required to complete the initial assessment. The result is preliminary guidance based on the answers given. We may change the preliminary outcome after checking your identity, documents or further information, and you may ask Summit to review an automated pathway result.
Visiting the website, completing the assessment, creating an account, sending an enquiry or uploading documents does not by itself create a professional engagement. Summit may decline a matter where it falls outside our services, creates a conflict, lacks sufficient information, cannot be handled appropriately through the platform, or cannot lawfully or professionally be accepted.
The work included in your matter is the work stated in your Service Confirmation. Where a service is purchased for a couple, each person's Will is a separate document, and each person must provide or confirm their own instructions and personally approve their own final draft.
You agree to give complete and accurate instructions, to provide identity documents in usable form, and to tell us when your circumstances change. If distribution percentages or instructions are mathematically or legally unclear, we may pause the work until they are corrected or reviewed.
Every single Will prepared through the platform receives human legal review within the agreed scope before it is presented for final client approval — this applies without exception. We may ask for further information, recommend a consultation, revise the proposed route, or pause the standard process where a legal or factual issue appears.
A draft is provided for your careful review and must not be treated as ready for signing or registration until Summit confirms the relevant next step. If you approve a document containing an error that you could reasonably have identified, or fail to disclose a relevant fact, additional correction work may be chargeable.
Registration, notarisation or acceptance is controlled by the Competent Authority. We cannot guarantee authority acceptance, appointment availability, processing time, future validity, enforcement, a court outcome or a particular result after death.
The standard professional fee for one accepted standard Will is AED 10,000 plus VAT. It includes Will preparation, human legal review, certified legal translation of the new UAE Will and assistance with submission. Payments, cancellations and refunds are governed by the Payment and Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Any timing we provide is an estimate unless expressly guaranteed in writing. For an accepted standard matter we aim to send your first draft within 2 business days after receiving complete, usable instructions and all required documents.
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Will instructions may contain sensitive personal information about you and other people. Do not upload information that is not reasonably required for your matter.
You agree that we may communicate with you electronically through the platform, email, SMS, telephone or approved messaging channels you select, and you must keep your contact details current. Email and messaging services carry confidentiality and delivery risks.
You must not misuse the platform, submit unlawful or deliberately false information, attempt to interfere with its security, or use it to impersonate another person. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the platform, legal obligations or service integrity.
The platform, branding, structure, software, questionnaires, explanatory content and document systems are owned by or licensed to Summit. You retain ownership of the original information and documents you provide, and grant us permission to use them only as reasonably necessary to deliver and secure the service.
The platform may link to or integrate with payment providers, identity services, electronic-signature services, cloud providers, translators, government websites or other third parties, whose own terms apply. This does not remove any responsibility Summit has under applicable law for selecting or using a provider.
You may ask us to stop work at any time. Fees and refunds are then assessed under the Payment and Refund Policy and your mandatory rights. Where legally and professionally permitted, we will explain the practical next steps and account fairly for paid but undelivered work.
We take reasonable steps to keep the platform available and information accurate, but it may be interrupted for maintenance, security, technical failure or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or Summit's obligations under applicable data-protection law.
If you have a concern, contact us at info@uaeexpatwills.com and include your name, matter reference, the issue and the outcome you are requesting. Using our internal process does not prevent you from exercising any right to contact a competent UAE authority.
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, authority procedures, services, technology or business operations. Material changes affecting an already purchased service will not be applied retrospectively to reduce the agreed service or mandatory rights.
These Terms and use of the platform are governed by the applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates. The competent courts of the Emirate in which Summit is licensed and established will have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law requires another forum.
If a provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right. These Terms, the Service Confirmation and the policies incorporated by reference form the agreement for the accepted service.
